Yoel Tamari was born 1929 in Germany. He migrated with parents to South Africa in 1936. In 1949 he came to live in Israel. He settled on Kibbutz Timorim where lived for 10 years , then 20 years in Ramat Hasharon, 20 in Raanana and now 10 happy years in Protea Village at Tel Mond. For 35 years he worked as a Life Insurance Agent, and retired at age 73. He served in the reserves of the Israel Defense Force (I.D.F.) till age 53. On a personal level: he married Pixie in 1950, had 4 children – Solly, Michael (who was killed in the Yom Kippur War), Danny and Orna. He has 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
